1. Introduction
Aumrè Financial Group (ABN 96 530 234 923) ("we", "us", "our", or "the firm") is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of the personal information we collect and hold. We are a registered tax agent practice (Tax Agent Registration No. 26260249) based in Donnybrook, Victoria.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (Cth) and the Code of Professional Conduct administered by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB).
By engaging our services or providing us with your personal information, you consent to the handling of that information as described in this policy.
2. What personal information we collect
The personal information we collect depends on the services you request. It may include:

- Government identifiers — Tax File Number (TFN), Australian Business Number (ABN), and where relevant, Australian Company Number (ACN), Medicare number and identity document details.
- Financial information — income, expenses, assets, liabilities, bank account details, superannuation, investment holdings and transaction records.
- Taxation and compliance records — prior tax returns, BAS/IAS, activity statement data, ATO correspondence and lodgement history.
- Entity and business information — company, trust, partnership and SMSF details, financial statements and corporate registers.
- Employment and payroll information — where we provide payroll, WorkSafe or Single Touch Payroll services.
We collect sensitive information (such as health information relevant to certain deductions or superannuation matters) only where necessary and, where required, with your consent.
3. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information in a number of ways, including:
- Directly from you — through engagement forms, onboarding questionnaires, correspondence, meetings, telephone calls and documents you provide.
- From third parties you authorise — such as the Australian Taxation Office, your previous accountant, financial institutions, employers, financial advisers or superannuation funds.
- Through our website and online tools — including enquiry forms, client portals and assessment tools at aumregroup.com.au.
- From publicly available sources — such as ASIC and other government registers.
Where it is reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you. If we receive information about you that we did not request, we will deal with it in accordance with the APPs.
4. Why we collect and use your information

We will not use or disclose your personal information for a purpose unrelated to the above unless you have consented, or the use or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
5. Disclosure of personal information
We may disclose your personal information to:

By engaging us, you consent to this disclosure. This arrangement is also disclosed in our engagement terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for direct marketing by third parties.
6. Data security and storage
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These measures include secure cloud storage, access controls, staff confidentiality obligations, encryption where appropriate and restricted access on a need-to-know basis.
Personal information is stored electronically within our practice management and accounting systems, and any physical records are held securely. We retain records for the periods required under taxation law and our record retention obligations — generally a minimum of five years, and longer where a specific legal or professional requirement applies.
7. Data breaches
We maintain procedures to detect, assess and respond to data breaches. Where a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to any affected individual, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
